Privacy policy

QubitFate does not ask for an account, your email or your real name.

What you type. Your questions, name, birthday and custom fortunes stay in your browser. Questions are not stored or sent anywhere. Your name, birthday and paper fortune teller texts are kept in your browser's local storage so they are there when you come back.

Quantum numbers. To get quantum random numbers, your browser asks our server, which fetches them from the Australian National University. Nothing about you or your question is sent with that request.

Preferences. Your theme and page-width choices are stored in your browser.

Advertising. We show ads from Google AdSense, which may use cookies to personalise ads. You can manage this at Google ad settings.

Analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It uses cookies and receives the page address, the site you came from, your approximate location, device and browser, but never your questions or anything you type into our tools. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked first: analytics and ad cookies stay off until you agree, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy settings link on the page.

Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
